Giancarlo Sierra

Giancarlo has several years of industry experience materializing business needs and ideas into technology. Born and raised in Ecuador, he completed his master’s in Software Engineering at Concordia University in 2018 where he was an RA for the Data-driven Analysis of Software (DAS) Lab. After graduating, Giancarlo transitioned from academic research into working as a data scientist in the financial industry. He is now thrilled to return to his core path of creating software and will be spending his time developing full-stack applications and systems to support CultureFoundry’s language revitalization projects. He has a keen interest in social and environmental issues and hopes to use his skills in software engineering to make a difference.
